Micro Finance Bank of Azerbaijan
opens new branch
The Micro Finance Bank of Azerbaijan has opened a new
branch in the most western region of the country.
On the 19th of March, 2008 the Micro Finance
Bank of Azerbaijan opened their new branch in the far Western
city of Gazakh. The bank appointed Zaur Ahmadov, an experienced
Azerbaijani specialist who has met National Bank of Azerbaijan
standards, as the branch manager.
MFBA General Manager, Andrew Pospielovsky, said, "One
of the primary goals of MFBA is to extend services throughout
the regions of Azerbaijan. The addition of the Gazakh branch
in a previously untapped market is another important step
in this growth. The banking and employment opportunities created
by this branch also represent another positive impact by MFBA
on the economy of Azerbaijan."
The new branch will include a full range of micro credit and
consumer banking products, including deposit accounts, plastic
card services, as well as domestic and international money
transfers through Western Union, CoinStar, Privat Money, Bystraya
Pochta, Migom, and Moneygram.
The addition of the Gazakh branch brings the total number
of MFBA locations to 15, including nine branches in Baku as
well as the five previously working in the regions (Sumgayit,
Gandja, Shaki, Lankaran and Khachmaz).
