Micro Finance Bank of Azerbaijan advances card business

MFBA proceeds with making people glad by giving them chance to make use of new products and develops card business having presented 3 new card services within the last quarter.
Baku, 6 August, 2007: Last august MFBA launched local plastic cards. The Bank passed VISA certification and became an associative member of the International Payment System VISA within an incomplete half a year. The first MFBA VISA debit card was issued in January, 2007.
“As soon as the VISA certification ended in January, we took a step forward in order to meet customers’ all demands and within a short period introduced various services including SMS Banking (enables to get statement of card account on cellular phone), PIN change (enables to change PIN code) and Card-to-Card (the fastest way of sending money to card account). Our customers have been using these services for more than half a year and they are entirely satisfied”. said Head of Plastic Card Department Nahid Zeynalov.
“Besides successful issue of these products, new multicurrency card was launched last august. This is irreplaceable especially for those who periodically travel or make business trips and use two or three currencies, since the necessity of making conversion is left out with this card. It is possible to use EURO in Europe, USD in America and AZN in Azerbaijan”, he continued.
Card business in Azerbaijan develops rapidly and MFBA permanently makes its services better and creates new ones being one of the innovation banks. The Bank has already commenced certification for transferring to chip cards and is planning to pass Verify By VISA (VBV) certification which will provide with safety in Internet transactions. It will be a great innovation in Azerbaijan.
